Dramatically improve wrinkles, scars, and sun-damaged skin with ProFractional.

The ProFractional Laser is a unique fractional laser resurfacing technology that leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected and intact. Fractional laser treatments with the ProFractional laser allows your skin to heal much faster than if the entire skin surface was treated at once. ProFractional laser treatments treat sun spots and age spots, improves uneven pigmentation and improves wrinkles, stretch marks, and acne scars with minimal downtime.

ProFractional laser treatments are minimally ablative or invasive. The procedure creates tiny channels reaching depths appropriate for correcting acne scars, wrinkles and texture issues. This allows for a very comfortable treatment. So comfortable in fact, many ProFractional laser treatments do not require topical anesthetic.

Common Questions about the ProFractional Laser

What conditions can be treated with ProFractional?
ProFractional can be used to improve a wide variety of skin conditions, but is used mostly for:
• Wrinkles and fine lines
• Post-traumatic scars
• Acne scars
• Age Spots
• Sun Spots
• Freckles
• Aging and sun-damaged skin

Who should consider a ProFractional treatment?

If you are looking for younger skin, or to improve scares, wrinkles, or sun damage in a comfortable treatment with a fast recovery, then you may be an ideal candidate for ProFractional. Ask your physician if ProFractional is right for you.

How does the ProFractional laser work?

ProFractional uses laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin. The zones of untreated skin invigorate the body's natural healing process, and the treated area stimulate production of new collagen, plumping up the skin and smoothing out wrinkles, lines, scars and other irregularities.

What areas can be treated?

Most skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest, and hands. You should discuss your needs with your physician.

How many treatments will I need?

ProFractional is typically done in a series of 1-4 treatments, spaced 3-6 weeks apart, depending on your needs. . Results are immediate and progressive. Optimal improvement is usually visible in about 2 to 3 months. This time frame and treatment structure allows for complete healing and replacement of damaged tissue with new collagen and elastin, and viable healthy skin cell growth.

Is the ProFractional Laser Treatment painful?

Most patients describe the treatment as having a "prickling" sensation. A topical anesthetic is available if desired.

What precautions should I take after treatment?

We recommend using an antimicrobial ointment during the healing process. You must apply sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher (UVA/UVB) after every two hours of sun exposure. Avoid direct sun exposure during the healing process and for at least 3 months after treatment.
